The article was damage control and presented the absurd argument that Flynn conducting his assigned duties would somehow make him susceptible to blackmail by the Russian government.

You continue to claim this without pointing to the exact FBI notes which demonstrate this.

Funny how all these "honest mistakes" always go in one direction. They might be more believable if just once they favored Trump rather than in every single case they go the other way.

Three facts:

1) The FBI did not have a legitimate case against General Flynn.

Yes, they did, MM. Actually they had more than just one ligitimate case against him, but the case you're refering to, it's against the law for a private citizen to undermine US policy which is what Flynn did, and that interview of Flynn was within the bounds of the ligitimate Russin investigation.

2) The FBI falsified evidence against General Flynn.

No proof, just accusations which the FBI denies.

3) The FBI threatened to prosecute General Flynn's son if General Flynn didn't cooperate.

General Flynns son was under threat anyway due to his association with Flynns sr's foreign lobbying firm, the case that Flynn avoided being charged with by admitting guilt and agreeing to cooperate with the Russian investigation. And, as obviously went in one ear and out the other, threatening to charge his son for a crime, or agreeing not to charge him in return for his cooperation is not illegal, it's done all the time, legally.

Just admit it MM, you couldn't care less about the rule of law, or the spirit thereof, when it comes to defending your wannabe dictator hero.

Whether that's true or not, the fact is that in the legal world, "process" is important. If there is prosecutorial misconduct, even the worst of criminals can get away.

Sure, but there was no "outrageous government conduct" as the law is actual defind by the court, nor is there actual evidence that there was any misconduct at all, other than the assertions made by the defense. And even if that were true, Flynn was still guilty and the DOJ would not normally intervene in order to dimiss a case against a man they know to be guilty of not only the crime, but of lying to the FBI about it and by doing so hindering the investigation into Russia.
