One comedian I was listening to suggested 2 reasons why conservatives tend to suck at humor...

    1. 'Punching up' (making fun of those in power) is humorous, 'punching down' (making fun of the powerless) is nasty. Conservatism, almost by definition, is about defense of the status quo, and thus siding with those in power against those who are not. Whereas liberalism, almost by definition, is about critiquing the status quo, and thus being critical of those currently in power and supporting those currently powerless.

    2. Good humor requires a foundation in facts, and is about finding ways to link those facts in a humorous way, so this requires both the comedian and also their audience to be knowledgeable about facts. Due to a variety of factors, especially in the US, liberals tend to be more knowledgeable about facts about the world than conservatives.
"I hate him passionately", he's "a demonic force" - Tucker Carlson, in private, on Donald Trump
"Every line of serious work that I have written since 1936 has been written, directly or indirectly, against totalitarianism and for democratic socialism" - George Orwell
"[Capitalism] as it exists today is, in my opinion, the real source of evils. I am convinced there is only one way to eliminate these grave evils, namely through the establishment of a socialist economy" - Albert Einstein

I guess it was inevitable that conservatives got so sick of having their false claims fact checked, that they would make up their own "fact-checking" websites so they could declare falsehoods true and truth's false to their hearts' content, and then declare to everyone it had been 'fact-checked'.

It's kind of a sad indictment of the post-truth culture that US conservatism has become.

In this case I will simply point to my signature which contains an important statement about all of this and point to the fact that like you I am not surprised by this either. Having heard about "alternative facts" and "Truth isn't truth" you knew quite many were beyond the point where they cared about facts.

Cartoons are not a coherent response. There just a vaudeville act when an intelligent coherent response is not forthcoming for factual posts with references. Very common in Conservative Twebbers responses.

As is ad hominem in various forms. Sadly, almost none that hail from a Trump defense position on TWEB can make an argument of any sort without resorting to insult or innuendo somewhere in the text of their post.
My brethren, do not hold your faith in our glorious Lord Jesus Christ with an attitude of personal favoritism. James 2:1

If anyone thinks himself to be religious, and yet does not  bridle his tongue but deceives his own heart, this man’s religion is worthless James 1:26

An absolute necessity if one is to defend Trump. A man who would conspire to force people to contract the virus or lose their jobs and income is a man that can only be defended through the use of lies and falsehoods.

So - are you claiming that pointing out that few here on the Trump side can write a post without insult or innuendo is the same as actually using insult and innuendo?

Nope, just noting how you don't realize you throw out your own insults in many if not most posts. This is so even when not "defending" yourself.

And here you were getting on me for seeing you in "the worst possible light".

I believe oxmixmudd and I have both presented rational and logical argument based on references without a coherent response with scientific references.

                        Still waiting . . .

                        No cartoons please.

                            Your hypocrisy, is noted.
