I believe like many others your approaching Carpe form a hostile perspective, and a religious agenda. I do not always agree with Carpe, and in fact there are some sharp differences, but his reasoning approach is far more rational, less extreme and emotional than many on this forum who most often respond to posts with insulting, irrational, emotional, sarcastic meaningless retorts.

Just how is that hostile to carpe? If it is, I will certainly try to set the record straight. I think it is a disagreement, which is not the same as a hostile perspective. I noted that there is a broader context also, and even offered a real and effective acid test to check to see if other posters agreed with him.

I am arguing that he is overlooking some other types of context.

I have a religious perspective which also forms and informs my worldview

I read back looking for one which showed hostility to carpe. I may have missed some, but I didn't see any. are you sure that you are not misreading my post?

My main point to carpe was that he, nor anyone else, would be able to persuade some posters here on any other thread where a parallel is to be found.
