If 48 states are doing fine, but two states have disproportionately high numbers, then the problem is in those states and not with the US response overall.

Americans have a larger disposable income, live in bigger houses, and have more gadgets and goodies than many European nations have.

MM, you are ignoring the simple fact that even if you take NY and NJ out of the equation, the rest of the country has 17% of the world's cases and 4% of the world's population. And that percentage is climbing...not shrinking.

The numbers don't support the claim that the "rest of the country looks pretty good overall."
