We have already started the process of selling our home. If Trump is out, then we will begin our original retirement plan, which included travel around the world but with the U.S. as our home base. If Trump is in, we will look for another home base and renounce citizenship as soon as we can successfully gain citizenship elsewhere. The damage Trump has done while somewhat constrained by his need to get re-elected is significant enough. The damage he will do when that need no longer exists, and the long-term harm that will be done to the judiciary will not be repaired in my lifetime. I'm not a hero. I have no desire to spend the last years of my life fighting a war I cannot win in a country that has drifted that badly off course. So yes - I will move on.

Oh, you deny it, of course, but let's put it this way: The fortunes of the president are tied to the fortunes of the country, so when you say, "I hope things go badly for the president," what you're really saying is, "I hope things go badly for the country."Some may call me foolish, and some may call me odd

Mr. Trump is the most corrupt/immoral politician I have seen in my lifetime and is certainly at or near the top of the list for the history of this republic. If he is re-elected, it is what that fact says about my fellow citizens that is what will cause me to relocate and seek alternate citizenship. I can understand a society electing such a man as an aberration and reflexive reaction to any number of issues. After seeing what kind of man he is up-close and personal for four years, if the majority of this country sees fit to return him to that office - then this is not the country I grew up in and loved. It has fundamentally changed in ways I find morally and personally repugnant. That is not the kind of people among whom I want to make my home.

I can't remember a president who came after whistleblowers like Obama did, the "transparency" president, but it's not talked about much because he was covert about it (not the least of which he also had the MSM on his side to cover his deeds). If you don't like America, you could always go live with your authoritarian atheist buddies in china. I'm sure you'll have a human rights blast.
I actually don't know anyone in China, and it would not top my list of places to live. The countries at the top of that list right now include New Zealand, Australia, Canada, Norway, Sweden, Switzerland, and the Netherlands. I have friends/family in three of them (Aus. Can., and Net.).The ultimate weakness of violence is that it is a descending spiral begetting the very thing it seeks to destroy...returning violence for violence multiplies violence, adding deeper darkness to a night already devoid of stars.
