Well - new for a crisis. We've been dealing with false and misleading information from our government for the last 3+ years, and from Trump since he was still dropping :poop: in his diapers.

by new, I meant the last 3 years and the crisis. To be clear, I am quite aware of the fact that to say the government has always been truthful would be a delusion, nevertheless, the last 3 years are a new type of continuous deception and lies that takes the public trust of what is being heard an order of magnitude lower than ever before (at least). The probability we are being lied to has reached nearly 100%, and as such we must treat what we hear with the same level of suspicion as we would have treated what we heard for a Chinese or Russian government official in the past.

It's not a question of what you intended but what you actually did. You do realize that this entire kerfuffle could have been avoided if you had simply said, "You're right, this is a possible worse case scenario, but my point is..." and go from there.
