Besides that, you're avoiding the main issue, i.e Trumps blatant abuse of the emoluments clause. He's doing business alright, he's personally pocketing millions in taxpayer dollars. 120 million so far into his resorts and an expected 350 million in another 5 years should he be re-elected.Last edited by lilpixieofterror; 01-03-2020, 11:27 PM."The man from the yacht thought he was the first to find England; I thought I was the first to find Europe. This has the daily meal and lodging rates, for Palm Beach, FL.
So based on the above, how are you getting the 120 million figure?"The man from the yacht thought he was the first to find England; I thought I was the first to find Europe. I did try to found a heresy of my own; and when I had put the last touches to it, I discovered that it was orthodoxy."

The US is quite good at kicking in the door and wiping out governments and since Iran is ran by a government, that would be a problem for them. Now pacification is a different story, but that means little to those in charge, that will likely be killed or driven to live in a hole and hope they are not next. Remember, Saddam and most of his major government figures are dead, in jail, or hiding.
I have to add that I supported the Iraq war at the time, and don't think it was wrong, though now I am questioning some of my assumptions and reasons.

2. I already dealt with the argument of the emoluments clause because if that was true, congress would have impeached him over it vs making up fake crimes to charge him with.
Likewise, the Secret Service is constitutionally required to pay for space it uses thanks to the third amendment. Presidents get paid for Secret Service protection that uses their property. Its a well known fact. Sam nor Jim seemed able to refute these points, maybe youll fair better.
