As here, there are "ACTUAL CRIMES" and the potential to be removed by the Senate. The crimes alleged or alluded to, in each case, were not brought to a conviction in the Senate. So here.Originally posted by Cow Poke View Post
The closest analogy, by far, is Nixon and Terraceth noted earlier that Nixon resigned rather than face a trial in the Senate. So the relevant questions are 1) did Nixon deserve to be impeached and removed and 2) if so, on what factual basis is Trump different? Did Nixon abuse his power obstructing Congress and covering up the Watergate break-in? Did Trump abuse his power obstructing Congress and covering up a pressure campaign against Ukraine for his political benefit?
