Some may call me foolish, and some may call me odd

Totally beside the point - if you'd like to start a thread on that, please feel free to do so, but I honestly don't care.

The fact is that there were ACTUAL CRIMES, and NO POTUS has EVER been removed by the Senate.

PERHAPS if they weren't in such a rush, they could have waited for some court rulings, but they are (cough, sputter) "above the law".

Today, after the impeachment vote, RCP show 48% against, 47.2% for - and the direction trending quickly against.

Dems will be slaughtered in 2020

A lot can happen between now and the election - Remember, Trump's worst enemy is with him everywhere he goes, and every time he looks in the mirror.

I disagree. His #1 enemy is the media. Granted, he doesn't do himself any favors with his Twitter account.

But it will take a few days for new polls to be averaged in.

He has no control over the media - he only has control over his own... um....

                    nevermind.

As here, there are "ACTUAL CRIMES" and the potential to be removed by the Senate. The crimes alleged or alluded to, in each case, were not brought to a conviction in the Senate. So here.

The closest analogy, by far, is Nixon and Terraceth noted earlier that Nixon resigned rather than face a trial in the Senate. So the relevant questions are 1) did Nixon deserve to be impeached and removed and 2) if so, on what factual basis is Trump different? Did Nixon abuse his power obstructing Congress and covering up the Watergate break-in? Did Trump abuse his power obstructing Congress and covering up a pressure campaign against Ukraine for his political benefit?

Seems pretty straight to the point, actually.

The AVERAGE creeps up slightly (against impeachment/removal), even after all the hype.
