Barr has the last word whether he consults with anyone or not. He didn't even consult with Mueller himself when drafting his phony summary of the report, and now that he has you all thinking Trump innocent he will do whatever he can get away with in order to hide the facts from the american people and Congress in order to cover for his corrupt boss, president Trump.

      SCOTUS does.
The first to state his case seems right until another comes and cross-examines him.

He's incompetent? Barr intimidated him? Or some similarly desperate excuse. They need to face reality that not only will Trump not be removed from office, but he will likely serve a second term.
This isn't about a court trial, it's about a congressional trial, i.e. whether to impeach or not, which is what the investigative Mueller report is all about. It's not up to the unelected, Trump appointed, Atty General to conclude that his boss is innocent or guilty, it's up to Congress.

Which is why Congress will probably need to get the courts involved.

That's a blatant lie. Again, no surprise considering the disgusting source of the lie.

First of all, yes he did.

Secondly, Barr also consulted with Deputy AG Rodd Rosenstein (no friend of Trump) as well as top officials in the Department of Justice.

And third, the report quotes Mueller's own words:

On collusion: "[T]he investigation did not establish that members of the Trump Campaign conspired or coordinated with the Russian government in its election interference activities."

On obstruction of justice: "...this report does not conclude that the President committed a crime ... the evidence does not establish that the President was involved in an underlying crime related to Russian election interference".

First of all, no he didn't and he admitted as much at the Congressional hearing today.
Secondly, Barr also consulted with Deputy AG Rodd Rosenstein (no friend of Trump) as well as top officials in the Department of Justice.
Rosenstein is also not an elected official, nor did he assist in the investigation so the conclusion is not for either him or Barr to determine. That's the job of the congress as a co-equal branch and oversight body.
And third, the report quotes Mueller's own words:

Cherry picked. For one thing, the [T] in brackets indicates that the word (The) is not the beginning of the sentence, the statement is cherrypicked! And second, that the Mueller report didn't (establish) guilt, doesn't mean there was no guilt, and that determinastion is left for Congress to make a determination on, not the unelected, Trump appointed Atty Gen's job.
On obstruction of justice: "...this report does not conclude that the President committed a crime ... the evidence does not establish that the President was involved in an underlying crime related to Russian election interference".
What it actually say's regarding obstruction is that the president is not exonerated of that charge. Those are questions that need to be seen by and determined by Congress, not Barr.

I don't think it's fair to accuse somebody of lying when they're so ignorant they don't actually know the truth.

                    • The story that there are members of Mueller's staff who are upset with Barr apparently comes from unnamed sources who supposedly talked to an anonymous source who spoke with a couple of reporters.

                      Very credible stuff.

Well that's a convincing argument against "the story".

                              • Quite so - a misleading headline if ever there was one.
