  • Mueller investigation conludes that Trump is guilty!

The Mueller probe as set out in the Cohen document today alleges that Trump is guilty of 2 federal crimes, tax fraud and campaign finance crimes, and goes on to say that the campaign was in contact with high ranking Russians offering "political synergy" or in other words collusion with themselves and the Trump campaign in the election against Hillary. They offered this help to Cohen during the negotiations regarding the Trump Tower Moscow deal that would, according to the investigation, have been enormously lucrative, nettting hundreds of millions of dollars for the Trump Organization.

Because Cohen refused to cooperate fully with N.Y. state district court, he is probably going to be sentenced to 3-4 years in prison even though he did cooperate with the special prosecuter.

Yes, Rachel is the best when it comes to fitting the pieces of the puzzle together. Cohen must have an awfully lot of illegal activity in his past to hide in order that he take 3-4 years in prison rather than fully cooperate with the southern district of N.Y. prosecutors.

What, even better than Glenn Beck or Alex Jones?! But Glenn Beck had a whiteboard! And Alex Jones knew about the lizard people!

Well, the President's lawyer appears to be going to go to jail for committing crimes that the prosecutors say the President ("individual 1" in the filing) ordered him to commit.

          As MSNBC's legal analyst comments:
The president and his lawyer violated campaign finance laws to influence the outcome of the election while his campaign chair was meeting with an intelligence asset of a foreign government that was trying to influence the outcome of the election.

"Individual 1" seems to be a criminal. Also I suggest that be his new name in general.

              ...which of course implicates Trump.

Well the filing only says that Individual-1 was a person Cohen was the attorney for and who was President of the United States by Jan 2017, so it could be basically anyone. Is it you?

                  True! Good point.

                  Is it you?
                  I deny everything.

Seriously, Individual 1 is involved with lying and cheating and stealing and colluding with a foreign government and this has been decided by two different legal offices. I doubt he can recover.

So, how on earth can Trump gloat that he had been “totally” cleared by the investigation? Is it possible that he doesn’t realize HE is Individual-1?
Yeah, but they already have so much on him from his cooperation with the Mueller probe that you would think public knowledge about anything else in his past wouldn't matter that much. Cooperation with the southern district prosecutors is much more detailed than it is with the special prosecutor, but there has to be some really bad stuff in his past, worse than the tax fraud, campaign finance crimes, collusion, and the many other crimes given up to Mueller in oder that he serve 4 years in prison rather thaqn admit to them.
I was actually thinking better of the guy, fell for his public display of atonement, but it turns out that Cohens change of heart, his sorrow and repenting his misdeeds, were only self serving displays according to the prosecution who recommended the judge come down hard on him.

While he has legally accepted responsibility, the Court should consider at sentencing these transparent efforts at minimizing Cohen’s false statements and criminal conduct."

What a guy to build a case on.

Cohen cheated on his taxes and lied to a bank about same; he didn’t fill out a campaign distribution report that almost everyone argues was not a campaign expense; and he misled congress about the timing of his business contacts.

                          Where’s the Russia collusion?

                          Where’s the Russia conspiracy?

Now it’s clear why Mueller and SSCI Vice-Chairman Mark Warner needed to work together to get the “lying to congress charge”…. the other three accusations are almost nothing.

The entire narrative around this has been a bigly manufactured bucket of nothingness.

MM, your inability to be objective is well known by all. Muellerhas given you a peek through documents pertaining to state charges, but he hasn't shown his hand yet. We, and by we I mean those of us who are not willfully blind to facts, already knew Trump to be guilty of campaign finance fraud, he directed Cohen to pay off his mistresses, and thanks to Cohen it's on tape. Cohen is going to prison for that, and the only reason that Trump is not going with him is because he is president. The remedy for that is impeachment which will most assuredly not happen with a majority unethical republican Senate. So, we will wait for Muellers full report, and perhaps the evidence coming from the new majority democrat Houses further investigation, which i'm fairly certain wiil leave the unethical republicans in the Senate little choice but to go ahead with impeachment.
You of course will continue to rationalize and deny any and all evidence no matter what anyway, because that's the way your head is screwed on.

It's pretty obvious to any rational person that Cohen plead guilty to a crime he didn't commit in order to get a lighter sentence for the crimes he did commit.
