  • Ivanka Trump used a personal email account to send mails about government business

    Very interesting:

Ivanka Trump sent hundreds of emails last year to White House aides, Cabinet officials and her assistants using a personal account, many of them in violation of federal records rules, according to people familiar with a White House examination of her correspondence.
And it is getting even better:

Read the entire article. It does give a balanced and interesting presentation of what went on.

She should suffer the same consequences as Hillary Clinton!!! But, to a lesser degree, of course, because Ivanka didn't have her own personal server.
The first to state his case seems right until another comes and cross-examines him.

Lock her up? Nah, it seems we are not finding ourselves in the same category as we did with Hillary. As usual things are a little muddy right now with sources giving contradictory impressions but it appears to be serious though not Hillary-serious.

Is she in jail, Charles? I said "suffer the same consequences" not be subject to the same rhetoric.

I'm actually surprised you didn't do your infamous Whataboutism Dance. And if it's not "Hillary-serious", and Hillary suffered no consequences...

I hope you did note by the question marking and the laughing face that I was not being serious?

I didn't point to whataboutism since you were not trying to take focus away by pointing to what others did. It was a different situation. I think your perspective is a little narrow if you think Hillary did not suffer any consequences. She may not have suffered any legal consequences but I feel quite certain it was one of many things she would have wished she had not done. And it may be one of many causes that she is not your president.

Yes, very interesting. This is totally like how the Democrats handled Clinton, right?

Since her use was before she received her briefings, she can not be held culpable.

Welcome, net-nanny. Could you please explain what it is whataboutism about?

They are trying to say "what about Ivanka? she used private email too!"

I was hoping so, but I appreciate the confirmation.

Charles, that there was ZERO legal consequence is not even a question. That she may have wished she didn't do it is not a "consequence" - and it's not that she did it, but that she got caught.

And it may be one of many causes that she is not your president.
It's possible that it may have been a contributing factor, but I sincerely doubt that anybody was was "for Hillary" would have been dissuaded because the Right Wing Conspiracy picked on her about her 'wedding and recipe' emails.

Are you sure that is really your opinion? Should she even handle government business before she received her briefings and wouldn't you say there are certain basics security wise that you are expected to know if you work at the highest political level?

There may be some saying that or thinking along those lines. I think it is a bit more muddy than that. I wouldn't say she did the same thing based on what we know so far.

Even more interesting is this buried six-paragraphs below the attention-grabbing headline:

So... much ado about nothing it would seem.
