Of course, just pointing out the overall makeup of the country compared to the representation. Millions more democrats and yet the republicans hold all 3 branches of Government. That's about to end, well it did end, but it is only going to get worse for republicans. Their corrupt riegn is over.

You realize we are the United STATES, right? and the mix of different parties is different in different states? You can't take the leftover democrats in California and apply their votes to the Senate race in Montana.

I am not "centrist" with respect to Trump. I am solidly "anti" - for all of the reasons I have cited in previous posts.

Actually - right OR left. Both sides seem to have the same philosophy of "win at all costs" that is exhibited by Trump's book. Hence - "not one iota of value."

Sometimes, we make decisions on a basis other than "I'll win" or "it works."

You were the one who was saying there were more democrat votes than republican. that only counts if it is within a state, JimL. You can't add up all of the democrat votes across the nation and claim there were more democrat votes so the democrats should have won, which is what you did.

Which is why I have already argued that the 2 Senators per state regardless of the population size of the state is ridiculous. Why should the minority of the country get to decide via their senators who presides over the Supreme court? It also has an effect on the electoral college and the relative value of one's vote in say Wyoming as compared to the value of ones vote in California. A persons vote living in Wyoming is worth like four times the vote of someone in California with respect to the electoral college.
