Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't you say something about how if the Dems took the House they could compel him to release more?

Yes - that is an obscure law that permits the House of Representatives to request and review the tax returns of pretty much any citizen. As I understand it, they do not have to "compel" Trump to do squat. They request the returns directly from the IRS.

                And this just in...

The NYT has issued a report about how Trump helped his father evade millions in taxes, based on extensive review of thousands of documents. The state of NY has launched an investigation as a result.

Hence my comment that this would be an outcome if the Dems take the house in November. And right now, that is looking pretty good. RCP has started to do not only their breakdown, but also their "no toss-ups" map. This is the map that results if all of the races break in the direction of the person leading in the polls. Currently the Senate has 43 seats that are leaning/likely/solid dems and 47 seats that are leaning/likely/solid Reps. But the Dems lead in 7 of the 10 toss-ups and the Reps lead in the other 3. So if they all break in the direction of the leader, Dems will pick up one seat and the Senate will be 50/50, keeping it in Rep hands. Governor's mansions are 50/50 in the no-toss-up assessment. No such assessment has been done for the house (yet).

I am predicting a significant blue wave in about a month, and I think the Dems will take the house.

                        Anyone taking a wager?

Given recent history, it's not at all unlikely.

I assume these revelations have changed nobody's views here? The Trumpeters are still aboard the Trump train? And those who've never liked Trump much but voted for him anyway, still don't like Trump much but support him anyway?

I guess the only outstanding question is "how much tax fraud is acceptable from the President before there should be talk about impeaching him for it?"
"I hate him passionately", he's "a demonic force" - Tucker Carlson, in private, on Donald Trump

"[Capitalism] as it exists today is, in my opinion, the real source of evils. I am convinced there is only one way to eliminate these grave evils, namely through the establishment of a socialist economy" - Albert Einstein
