I really think Diane Feinstein thought the anonymous letter would be a kill-shot in and of itself, but when that didn't work, they had to raise the stakes with the accuser identifying herself, and when that didn't work, they had to raise the stakes again by having the accuser make a show of wanting to testify under oath, but it seems that this obvious patsy of the Democrat party is unwilling to "take one for the team" by committing perjury.

In other words, their bluff has been called. I wonder what their next play will be?

Yes, a pattern of "let's do whatever it takes to derail the process, no matter what".

Just how is fulfilling their responsibility of advise and consent derailing the process. Kavanaugh, if innocent, should actually want this allegation investigated in order to erase the asterisk that will forever be associated with his judgeship, yet he doesn't want it investigated. That itself is incriminating. But it isn't as if an investigation would be delaying the process for over a year as was the case with republicans regarding Justice Merrick Garland.

            • Brett Kavanaugh: He was a 'virgin' in high school and other takeaways from Fox interview

Sitting next to his wife, Ashley Estes Kavanaugh, the nominee flatly refuted the accusations as he sought to defend himself days before the Senate Judiciary Committee is scheduled to have another hearing on his confirmation. President Donald Trump nominated Kavanaugh in July to succeed Justice Anthony Kennedy on the high court.

That vote on Kavanaugh's nomination has been pushed back so he can answer allegations leveled by one of his accusers: psychology researcher and Palo Alto University professor Christine Blasey Ford. She alleges that, while both were in high school, Kavanaugh held her down, put his hand over her mouth to silence her, and tried to remove her clothes.

A second woman, Deborah Ramirez, a Yale University classmate of Kavanaugh's, claims that he exposed himself to her and shoved his penis in her face at a dorm room party in their freshman year at the Ivy League school. She said they were playing a drinking game at the time and admits there are gaps in her memory of that night.

Here are five takeaways from the interview:

So, all the left has to do is come up with an old girlfriend who claims she slept with K and they had sex. The Dems are, no doubt, scouring the country....

An honorable response from an honorable man. This is the kind of integrity that we desperately need on the Supreme Court. It's no wonder Democrats are launching an unprecedented smear campaign against him.

Meanwhile, the accuser can't get her story straight, and can't just say, "here's what happened".... there's gotta be all this drama - will she testify? under oath? who can be there? when? Thursday - MAYBE......

This all just looks like a "run out the clock" --- let's push this past the midterms!

The honorable Judge Kavanaugh is eager to testify under oath and put this matter to rest, which is more than can be said about his accuser who has thrown up one stall tactic after another and who still has not made a firm commitment to appear to testify on Thursday.

Also, considering that even the accuser can't say when or where the alleged assault happened, and that every single witness named by the accuser has gone on record to deny the allegations, just where do you think an investigation should begin? Where's the probable cause? Where's the actionable evidence that would compel an inquiry? Very simply, it doesn't exist!

The only place an asterisk will exist is in the mind of gullible morons like you who are willfully blind to how obviously sketchy this whole thing is.

What, exactly, would they investigate? Serious question.

They will probably get someone to do exactly that. I don't think they have any scruples at this point.

The Dems are so incredibly desperate to derail K that I wouldn't put anything past them. (As I type this, Michelle O is pontificating about how tired she is of the nastiness in politics...... )

Maybe they'll send out James Carvell to drag a hundred dollar bill through a trailer park.
