Except Kavanaugh was never accused of rape in college. For that matter, Ford accused him of drunkenly fondling her in high school, and Rameriz accused him of doing no more than expose himself to her at a party in college , so who knows what your friend's friend is referring (and who knows how credible your friend's friend even is). The rape accusation came from Swetnick who went from "Kavanaugh totally spiked the punch and gang raped girls" to "He might have been at a party where that maybe happened". And now we learn from NBC news that one of Avanatti's key witnesses flatly denied the accusation

I fully realize why you would want to diminish this and pretend it wasn't part of the overall pile-on, but it shows the absolute corruption of the process.
The first to state his case seems right until another comes and cross-examines him.

And we fully realize why you would want to diminish Dr. Fords and others completely credible testimony, Kavanaughs lies and his inability to conduct himself civilly, commensurate with the temperment of a SC Justice, in a congressional hearing, but it shows the absolute corruption of your minds.

Repeating the same dumb thing over and over doesn't make it truerererer, Tass.... But that's all ya got, so give it another round.

Duh! repeating the truth over and over again doesn't make it truererer either, CP, but the facts, which you cal dumb things, is all we've got to go on. Unlike you our minds don't live in that fantasy world of yours with those alternative fact thingies.

Swetnick was one person whose testimony, like that of many others was never fully investigated. The larger point in all of this is that Kavanaugh himself was willing to lie under oath and to exhibit the character of one who is unfit to be appointed to a life time position on the SC of the U.S.

...and, obviously, in hindsight, with good cause. Her porn star lawyer flat out LIED about what her "testimony" was. And NBC HID that little fact thingie.

He's expressing an opinion, which is his right. He is NOT expressing fact.

You may have a point with the character thing, but you really shouldn't continually assert that he "lied under oath" when there is inadequate evidence to draw that conclusion. You can maybe claim some of his statements were sketchy, but there's nothing that proves them false as far as I can tell. Claims that "his classmate said such and such which contradicts with his statement" is counteracted by the fact other classmates have backed up his statements. Deciding to believe the classmates that happen to support your preconceived narrative is simply confirmation bias.

I'm sure our pinko commie lefties who were screaming about the FBI not doing their job will be just as outraged that NBC withheld crucial information in the same case.
