Can you at least agree that's a bit different than "tried desperately to convince us that a weak economy and high unemployment was 'the new normal'"
That's basically all I was countering.
That the media irresponsibly ran with it is the media seeking clickbait.

And now that the Trump economy is roaring along like a finely tuned sports car, the left is either trying to talk it down, or they're trying to give all the credit to Obama.

Just because you personally don't call those policies "pro-business" ones just shows you have zero clue about economic policy and wouldn't know what a pro-business policy was if you ran into a thousand of them. Everyone else who actually knows anything about economics thinks Obama did plenty of actual pro-business policies to get America out of the crisis. I don't like Obama, but at least accuse him of the bad things he actually did (like lots of wars, not jailing bankers & torturers etc) rather than making up fake complaints about him."I hate him passionately", he's "a demonic force" - Tucker Carlson, in private, on Donald Trump

But he (and Bush) let the people responsible for the crisis go scot-free.

There are still problems with the economy though. Wages suck. There are jobs but not good jobs. Housing is VERY costly. Hard work reaps little reward. Where I live the average cost of a three bedroom house in rent is a little over a thousand a month. There is cheaper to rent, but that means living far away in the country where no one can get to you in an emergency, or in a drug infested neighborhood. You can make it, it's just difficult.A happy family is but an earlier heaven.

Sheesh!
Annual US worker pay gains rose at fastest pace since 2008 U.S. workers saw their annual wages and benefits rise in the second quarter at the fastest pace in nearly a decade, a sign that the low unemployment rate is forcing employers to raise pay to attract and keep workers.
