Since when have votes stopped an autocrat? You can't have things both ways, Jim. Either Trump is an autocrat, or he's subject to the rule of law (which, in our current circumstances, means he can be voted out of office or must step down after 8 years, whichever comes first).

We DON"T live in a democracy...we live in a Republic. Please at least try to make it look like you didn't sleep through Civics class.

Republics are democracies according to the modern definition of the word democracy (more specifically, a republic is a type of democracy, and in fact is nearly synonymous in a practical sense because I can't think of any present democracies in the world that aren't republics).

Hitler was voted into office. And he was left in office due partly to the population being unaware of his secret atrocities and partly because he was popular. He promised to make Germany great again.

To be fair more and more schools erroneously teach that we are a democracy rather than a democratic republic.

Unlike Hitler, Trump made it crystal clear what sort of changes he wants to enact. There was no nebulous "hope and change" mantra minus any details.

Obama had to, eventually, admit that the shovel-ready jobs weren't so much shovel-ready, even though the money was doled out...
The first to state his case seems right until another comes and cross-examines him.

If I remember correctly Trump separated children from their parents without a plan on how to reunite them. The consequence could be that some children will never be reunited with their parents. How many would have voted for him knowing this? I am afraid that quite many of his supporters actually would and will continue to do so.

What was Obama's plan to reunite the children with their parents?

I think you have missed the basic definition of what an answer is. I have pointed to the whataboutobama-fallacy quite many times now. In case you need to know it I don't support him, I did not post in here when he was president and I could go on..... No need for you all to jump into the same fallacy time after time.

Fascism comes in increments OBP. If you want a current example, look at Trumps autocratic buddy in Turkey. Erdogan was democratically elected just like Trump, he now rules the country with an iron fist.

Sorry charles, but your blatant hypocrisy is showing. You didn't care a whit about this when Obama was doing the same thing but now suddenly seek to twist this into being all Trump's fault.
