The more I think about it, the more "witch hunt" seems like an accurate description of much of the left's approach toward racism, Nazis, etc.

Trump has made numerous racist and ethnic insensitive statements, as well as his actions such as the 109(?) White house interns are all white except for one token black. This just the tip of the iceberg of White house racism.

Referring to a black person as a "token black" is itself racist because you're implying that he was only able to succeed because of his skin color and not because of individual merit.

It counts as typical Trumpian hyperbole, AFAICT - and at that, he's not painting ALL Mexicans as such. The Cubans actually did send us boatloads of their criminals; to the extent there's corruption, I can see some Mexican states guiding their criminals north, but I doubt it's official policy.

And sometimes, what is being looked for exists. Trump has had shady legal dealings since he started business. He has questionable morals, which is evident for all to see. He lies on a regular basis. I do not consider it a witch hunt when the man has such a pile of evidence pointing to his character flaws and morality lapses. Indeed, I am continually amazed that some of his most fervent defenders are the religious right. He is an unlikely hero. He is also one that, IMO, compromises the claim of the right to a "moral high ground." I think that claim is now fairly solidly laid to rest.

I think he's about as racist as the average person--who, I think, is pretty racist. I think liberals and conservatives a like are probably pretty racist. I think minorities and white people are, by and large, pretty racist. I think women and men are pretty racist. I think everyone is pretty racist.

Stupid.

Tendency of people is to favor family members of theirs, also extended family, also tribe/race. Not everything libs think is 'racist' is bad, some is good.
