What is "the same scoring level"?

        Interesting side note...

Thus, 78.2 percent of the academic departments in my sample have either zero Republicans, or so few as to make no differenceThe mean Democratic-to-Republican ratio (D:R) across the sample is 10.4:1, but because of an anomaly in the definition of what constitutes a liberal arts college in the U.S. News survey, I include two military colleges, West Point and Annapolis.1 If these are excluded, the D:R ratio is a whopping 12.7:1.

um. if the students taking the test are lower performing then it is due to a decline in teaching those students. Or do you think that we just have generally lower IQ kids today?

I already explained this in post #45. It would be like if a senior AP class became mandatory for all seniors. The average grade for students who originally sought out the AP class is higher than the average grade of all seniors taking that same class because optional (normal) AP classes are taken by ambitious, ie high-performing, students.

and you failed to respond to the point that if all students are getting the same education and the education was good, then the average test scores should be the same no matter how many took the test. And it doesn't explain the fact that all students have been taking the test for over 40 years now and the test scores have been dropping.

Not according to the College Board:

Page 2. Differences between scores in 1970s and now amount to a handful of questions.

again, you are ignoring that they renormed the tests.

I don't, unfortunately. All I know is that he was in command of a unit that liberated a concentration camp and served as temporary mayor while the town rebuilt. He had nightmares for decades from what he witnessed, so he didn't ever really talk about it. Even my mom didn't know anything about it until she was in her 30's and only because my grandfather slipped and made an off-hand remark while they were watching a WW2 documentary.
