yep. It was on for a short while last year and now it is back. This was the second week so you can still catch up.

I am recording them for a binge so no spoilers!

It seems like those who remain in power at a very advanced age tend to be taken advantage of. Consider in 2008, when shortly before the election, Billy Graham's website scrubbed references to Mormonism being a cult. I seriously doubt that Billy would have approved of that in his "prime" and I doubt he personally had anything to do with that.

A House Democrat is introducing a bill called the "Stable Genius Act" that would require presidential candidates to take a mental health exam after President Donald Trump's tweet referring to himself as a "stable genius"...

The act would make it mandatory for anyone running for the highest office in the country to submit a report to the Federal Elections Commission (FEC) "certifying that he or she has undergone medical examination by the medical office under the jurisdiction of the Secretary of the Navy."

Candidates already undergo, and release the results of, physical medical examinations while on the campaign trail. Mr Trump never released his during the 2016 election save for a letter from his doctor saying he was in good health.

I'm not sure it's necessarily a good idea to give the military potential veto power over election candidates (seems like you're opening up a possible avenue of abuse of power there), but compulsory health checks do seem like that sort of thing that generally needs to happen.

The headline is misleading. "Democrats to introduce" implies it's a party-wide action whereas it appears it's one individual Congressman doing it to make a point/for publicity.

Right. They kind of came back last year to test the water, both in terms of viewer reception and how they all felt while doing the show.

Both went well enough to justify another season of (I think) ten episodes.

Yeah, I noticed that, too, and was looking for any sign of a "movement". Just one nutter.

exactly. You don't want the military to have power to stop candidates. Elections are about what the people want.

I think the President does have to get regular physicals though. In fact the news is that he is going to undergo his first physical as President today.
