Wow. That's unbelievable. As far as I know this is pretty much a first in Hollywood. In comparison to folks like Polanski or more directly, the pedophile Victor Salva who did the Jeepers Creepers films (the third film which was recently released) typically this sort of thing is completely ignored. Plummer is a fantastic actor, who is age appropriate, but I wonder if a Spacey version will ever find its way on an unofficially released cut. There is a whole genre of fans looking for lost film that have never been released that would die to see the film with Spacey as the lead. Other films in this pseudo genre include Jerry Lewis' The Day the Clown Died, material that Orson Welles directed. and so forth. Honestly, assuming that Ridley Scott, the director, was in the dark about all of this, I feel bad for him, as so many of his films have been hit or miss thanks to producers getting in the way. At the same time, I've felt, since these accusations came out in Hollywood, that if anyone knew about the business of sexual misconduct, Scott was likely in the know.

I remember when Gary Glitter got arrested the first time, the NFL made teams stop using Rock and Roll Pt. 2 at games. Eventually, this restriction got relaxed until he got arrested again. He's persona non grata again.

When Lostprophets singer Ian Watkins got arrested, the rest of the band immediately broke up as they felt the band name was stained.

To be fair, what Glitter and Watkins did are far worse than anything Weinstein has been accused of.
