  • Trump’s Bold Declaration of Faith

I have to say I’m reconsidering my view of Trump after hearing his answer on the state of his relationship with Christ and how he prays:

Okay so I think it’s good. I do very well with the Evangelicals. I love the Evangelicals. And I have more people saying they pray for me. I can’t even believe it. And they’re so committed. And they’re so believing. And they say “Sir, you’re going to be okay. I pray for you every day.” I mean everybody. Almost. I can’t say everybody but almost everybody that seems me, they say it. It’s such a beautiful thing. You know what’s a beautiful thing, too? When you look at all of this bad stuff going on, they have nothing to look up to. They have no God. They have no…anything. They kill people. They beat people. They push people into subways. They…so…there’s just nothing there. Religion is such a great thing. It’s so… It keeps you….you know there’s something to be good about. You want to be good.

I am just waiting for a cartoonist to do a version of the Damascene conversion.

His answer to a question about how he prays... was that heaps of people pray for him.

I think Trump's ego is so big that he just can't fathom the concept of himself praying to God. Commanding God, perhaps.
"I hate him passionately", he's "a demonic force" - Tucker Carlson, in private, on Donald Trump
"Every line of serious work that I have written since 1936 has been written, directly or indirectly, against totalitarianism and for democratic socialism" - George Orwell
"[Capitalism] as it exists today is, in my opinion, the real source of evils. I am convinced there is only one way to eliminate these grave evils, namely through the establishment of a socialist economy" - Albert Einstein

Still waiting for him to answer the question posed. His answer is naught but his usual spew of word salald. The people he respects and admires the most, Putin, Kim Jung Un, Xi, et.al. are all atheists, and evil minded atheists at
that. He, in his non answer, is simply continuing the con he's been playing on his naive evangelical base.

I consider Trump, Pelosi, and Biden to all have the same level of faith. I've also never been a fan of the phrase "God Bless America", especially when it's constantly used politically.
