They are not equally to blame as was implied by Trump's pandering comment: "There was blame on both sides...on both sides". The "blame" was on the instigators, i.e. the neo-Nazis. Not on those that reacted to it. It is generally considered in our society that Fascism = bad and anti-Fascism = good. Except among Evangelicals it seems.
