News Topic: Iranian President Dead in Helicopter Crash

Been seeing this across the news sphere since yesterday.

Iranian president (not supreme leader) was killed in a helicopter crash (originally reported as 'hard landing') yesterday. There were search and rescue, but weather and terrain hampered them. Apparently when found there were no signs of life. I haven't heard on whether the search and rescue, if it had arrived quickly, would have made a difference.

Given his alleged "devout" beliefs one assumes that went through his mind as the helicopter plummeted earthwards.

From the news it appears that his successor will be no different and the repressive regime will continue. And so to use a line "meet the new boss, same as the old boss".
