That would keep her warm in the doghouse. But, I don't have a dog in this race so I will quit dogging this.

I only have one dog, and he's too old to race. However, no matter how quietly you try to unwrap a piece of cheese at the fridge, he suddenly materializes there like he came through a time warp.

Then you break out in song, singing "Old Fashioned Love Song."

"Joy to the World" is also acceptable.

And if there are bull frogs, must there also be cow frogs?

My aunt had an old Schnauzer-Poodle mix that was deaf as a post. And yet he could be sound asleep (he tended to snore) at one end of the house, but if you used a can opener he'd be there under foot in a blink of an eye.

And calf frogs, not to be confused with calf fries?

Food as motivation --- what a concept!

                      • So much for beating up on Kristi. I think we put an end to that.

I really think she's the best candidate for Trump as a VP. Same politics, has administrative experience, and she even checks one of the demographic boxes. I hear a lot of squawking about Rand Paul, but he's important in the senate and I doubt he would be interested.

Almost as great as inserting "I've been a children's pastor" into a lie. Huge credibility boost.

I can see how that would be embarrassing for her. Not being a senile old coot who thinks she was jailed trying to see Nelson Mandela, had engineered an Amtrak train, had driven a tractor trailer, that her son died in Iraq, saw a bridge collapse when she wasn't there, visited 'ground zero' the day after 9/11, or a long list of other whoppers. But she's not a Democrat so she should be executed for it.

The question is whether Noem's efforts to demonstrate her leadership qualities in this book (A) actually demonstrate leadership qualities and (B) demonstrate good character. If you want to compare that to other politicians' misstatements, I won't stop you but that doesn't change the topic of the thread. People have asked why some of us won't accept Noem's judgement in the matter of shooting her dog. This is another example of not only why we don't but why people shouldn't.

Personally, I couldn't care less about her shooting the dog. I'm sure she had good reason to (she's not an island and her family would have given her grief about it if it wasn't justified, and hence wouldn't have ended up in a book).

However, there has been some criticism of her not handling the subject well when questioned on it. I would expect a senior administrator to be adept at handing himself/herself in the face of adversity.

We'll see how it all shakes out.
