  • Utah School Kids Stage Walk Out Protest Against ‘Furries’

Are you leftist nut jobs happy with this? What the hell is wrong with educators?

Students at a middle school in Utah walked out in protest Wednesday, charging that teachers and officials are allowing other children to identify as animals.

The kids at Mt. Nebo Middle School in Payson said they have had enough of so called ‘furries’ who they charge have growled and barked at them, and even bitten them.

The students made signs saying “Don’t brainwash us,”as well as “Compelled speech is not free speech,” “I will not comply,” and “We just wanted to learn.”

They stood on the side of the road outside the school, saying that their complaints against the ‘furries’ are being ignored.

There have previously been reports of school officials placing litter boxes in school bathrooms to appease children wanting to identify as ‘furries’, with one particular school in Utah garnering attention, but claiming the rumours are false.

Are they saying they put litter boxes in the bathrooms as ornamental symbols or that the "furries" kids were actually using them?

They just said they were putting them in the girls bathrooms. Not if they were using them.

That they were "appeasing" kids that wanted them seems to imply they were actually using them. That I think would a line between a child's imagination and mental psychosis.

And there will always be some, often just out of boredom, who will see this as an opportunity ripe for mischief and will push it for that reason.

I'm always still in trouble again

Animals and pets are not allowed in school, except to dissect in science class. They should be kicked out of school if they wish to identify as an animal, or other kids should be allowed to bring their pets to school with them. Easy solution.

A misunderstood mass email, middle school kids, and end-of-school year Spring.

It's a sad state when kids are forced to become the sane adults in the room.

Oh, yeah? What about Mary's little lamb?

Mary had a little lamb, its fleece was white as snow.
And everywhere that Mary went, the lamb was sure to go.
He followed her to school one day, that was against the rule.
It made the children laugh and play to see a lamb at school.

The lamb, and perhaps Mary as well, was a scofflaw

Considerably embarrassing for a certain set of people here and people even further out there:

Source: No evidence of 'furries' in Nebo School District despite allegations, social media firestorm. Logan Stefanich. KSL.com. 2024.04.18

As it turns out, these allegations were "completely unfounded," said Seth Sorensen, spokesman for the Nebo School District.

Last week, "students were not treating each other respectfully and things were occurring that they just did not feel were appropriate and conducive to education," Sorenson said.

A small group of students at the school were wearing headbands with animal ears, which led other students to throw food at them. Kelsey James, spokeswoman for the Utah State Board of Education, said that incident prompted the school to send a letter to students' families.

The letter, which was obtained by KSL.com on Thursday, reminded students of the district's dress code, which says "jewelry, accessories, tattoos, hair, facial hair and other elements of a student's appearance that draw undue attention, distract, disrupt, or otherwise interfere with the learning atmosphere at school or at school activities and events, or that create a health, safety, or welfare issue are prohibited."

After the administration had conversations with the students wearing the headbands — noting that they were a "little bit of a disruption" — the students stopped wearing them, Sorenson said.

The letter also addressed the food throwing targeted at the headband-wearing students, saying that a "written, verbal or a physical act that creates a hostile, threatening, humiliating, or abusive environment is not permitted."

"As that message went out, somehow, parts of that message were, we believe, misunderstood," Sorenson said. "Individuals took to social media to share their interpretations of the message, and it kind of turned into something wild and crazy."

He added that the school hasn't had any incidents of students wearing masks or animal costumes, nor have any students engaged in biting, licking or any other forms of animal-like behavior.

Still, the unfounded allegations of "furries" (people who dress and sometimes act like animals) spread like wildfire across social media, most prominently in conservative circles.

When you have leftist ideologue supreme court justices claiming they can't define what a woman is, men pretending to be females competing against females in athletics, trans strippers dancing in front children, and freak show trans kleptomaniacs working in federal government, don't blame us when we find a story as mild as this in comparison to be perfectly plausible.

So the students say this did happen, a couple of dozen of them, and a mouth piece for the School district said it didn't - of course the school district would want to down play it.

Interesting given that yesterday there was a student on one of the cable news programs who is supposedly a furry at the school and who claims that it wasn't the furries who were acting out, but rather another group who don't just cos-play but supposedly actually think they're part animal.

It all reeks of "We've investigated ourselves and found nothing wrong" along with trying to use the lack of knowledge of what a furry is. Most furries are going to consider people acting like this insane. There are also a wide range of furries. Some are simply into stuff similar to anime cat girls while others are into significantly less anthropomorphic creatures.
