1.) Whitefield was English. 2.) His views on slavery were, to put it mildly, complicated (especially on the treatment of slaves), but Whitefield didn't campaign for the re-legalization of slavery. Simply the legalization of slavery. 4.) John Wesley, typically considered the de facto founder of Methodism, was pro-abolition. 4.) I already mentioned the split that happened over slavery in my previous post.

America produces constant propaganda to the world about how great and free it is, which encourages the averagely ignorant to want to go there. What people in the US don't appear to realize is that all Western countries have the same issue with huge amounts of people from less well-off countries wanting to live here.

If I had to give Jesus a label, I suppose it would be social progressive and moral conservative.
