    About this event

Join us Friday, June 10 at the Austin Central Library (Special Event Centre, 710 W. Cesar Chavez St) for a panel discussion among women who have found themselves ejected from or alienated by the left.

Many feminists today find themselves politically homeless, on account of the left's support for ideology and legislation that runs counter to material reality, civil liberties, free speech, and women's sex-based rights. At the same time, many women don't feel aligned with right wing values either. Feminists who support free speech, bodily autonomy, and civil liberties have been alienated by a feminist movement invested in poliitcal purity and allied with political parties that do not represent them. As a result, many of us have chosen independence over ideology and blind adherance to political labels, allowing us true freedom of thought.

Women Leaving the Left will address the supposedly unspeakable: the things we are not supposed to say, the conversations no one is having, and the issues social media and mainstream media will not allow.

This event is the first of its kind and seating is limited! Get your tickets now before they sell out!

The first to state his case seems right until another comes and cross-examines him.

If their "support" for "bodily autonomy" does not extend to the unborn, we don't *want* them in the GOP.

And it appears they do not want to be in the GOP. Win for everyone but the unborn. Of course even if it does include the unborn, they might still not want the GOP.

I quite agree with them that there are elements on the Left in politics and elsewhere that are driving people away and what they have written on that link is very pertinent.

The almost fascist behaviour among some that no one must challenge certain views and if they do they will be "cancelled"; nor that anyone must be offended by anything whatsoever has become not only worrying with regard to protecting freedom of thought and speech but also very wearisome.

What is also amusing is that in this narrow-mindedness those elements on the Left now mirror what has existed for decades within certain sections of the Right; many of whom likewise become incensed and outraged by anything they deem to be offensive and immediately call for it to be banned.

Hence there are now narrow-minded bigots and proto fascists on both political wings.

In some quarters on the Left there is also too much emphasis on identity politics and not enough about other [to many of us] more important global issues, .

And of course what these zealots do not appear to realise is that they playing directly into the hands of the Right; while also antagonising those who, while not necessarily identifying as of the Left, are more inclined to be receptive to, and sympathetic towards, issues that have traditionally been perceived to be of the Left.

I I hope they get a good audience today.

Seems like the left's motto regarding male dominance of women is "If you can't beat them, replace them!"
              Literally.
