Recently, I had taken some time off from Tweb because things got really busy in my life.

Quite honestly, I REALLY enjoyed not dealing with people like you.
Since I honestly don't care what somebody from outside this Country thinks, based on their own extreme political bias, I think I'm opting to ignore you in the future.
(I'll not promise, because I've seen too many people promise, then fail )

Secondly, you've just about convinced me that you weren't the one who went psycho about my non-existent "panic room arsenal" -- maybe that was somebody else.
So, I'll drop that - I've tried to find anything having to do with that, and simply can't.

Finally...

They say ignorance is bliss --- I'm wrong for trying to destroy yours.
Feel free to try your best to meddle in our affairs from your tiny little beautiful country.

The part where they didn't implement that seems highly relevant. Hard to 'recover' from a policy implemented only in the imaginations of conservatives.

Compare to Uvalde, who heavily funded police, spending 40% of the city's budget on police in addition to the school district having it's own police force. Those, actually implemented policies, didn't have great outcomes.

Tell us again how they didn't implement it....
Or, are you going to fall back on the strawman of "if they didn't do the most extreme version of defunding, defunding didn't happen"?

SEATTLE — The Seattle Police Department’s budget shrunk after a final vote from the City Council.

Funding for SPD has been one of the most contentious issues in the city budget.

In an 8-1 vote, the council approved a $355.5 million budget for SPD saying there are no cuts functionally for SPD.

The budget includes funds to hire 125 officers in 2022.

But the police department’s budget is shrinking compared to years past—especially with a mass exodus of officers during the “Defund SPD” movement.

In 2021 budget was $363 million and in 2020 is was $401.8 million.

You can always tell who the low information morons are when they uncritically regurgitate the farcical employment data from the White House. Meanwhile...

You do not need anyone to affirm that Main Street is in trouble, you can see it all around you. Inflation is crushing blue-collar and white-collar workers as prices continue to rise on essential goods. Consumer spending is now prioritized around the higher cost of housing, energy, gasoline and food. Family earnings are spent before the paychecks arrive for most Main St workers, and now we are starting to see the alarming result [of] economic contraction, beginning with small businesses.

That’s the message within the ADP private sector payroll report released today [DATA HERE], which shows a contraction in small business employment. Economists were looking for private payroll increases in the 300,00 range; but the result was far lower at 128,000. Small businesses lost 91,000 jobs in May. Main Street is in trouble.

SpongeBob, my grandson, graduated from High School this week.
Their school choir sang (no - "performed") the National Anthem.

Apparently, their choir director heavily emphasized 'proper diction', and the choir excelled.

What happened --- oh, the irony!!!! --- is that the National Anthem sounded like it was being sung with a very distinct BRITISH accent!
