Eh? You want to send in the troops against a tiny peaceful protest?

What happened to pretending it was the left that was authoritarian? What happened to pretending you were the one who supported the constitution and the freedoms in it? Doesn't take much for your inner fascist to surface does it?

Apparently it's a family heirloom. And not that I personally consider it a positive, but Biden seems to take his Christianity pretty seriously. But, I guess you could say that it's big cos it has all the heretical Catholic apocryphal books in it as well as the 'correct' protestant biblical books.

And the focus of his speech was a call for unity. You might want to listen to it given your recent thread was doubting he'd try for unity from the podium.
I did notice they got that thing strapped down pretty tight. Wouldn't want it to accidentally open or anything, eh?

I will say that I am going to give Biden a chance. He talks of Unity. I hope he means that, and not just "we will have unity when everyone agrees with us" - so far his words are "unity" but his actions are "undo everything the conservatives accomplished in the last 4 years as fast as possible"

Antifa and Black Lives Matter protesters joined forces in Seattle to block traffic in the downtown area. A video shows the protesters setting a large fire in close proximity to several commuter buses.

A group of BLM and Antifa posters shut down traffic in downtown Seattle on Wednesday night following the inauguration of President Joe Biden. The KOMO video tweeted by @The_Justice7 shows multiple cars and buses stopped by the protesters as they set a large banner ablaze.

LOL. not peaceful. and meanwhile in Portland and Denver:

Portland rioters damage ICE building; police declare 'unlawful assembly'

The so-called J20 protest was a demonstration against Biden and law enforcement

Police declared an unlawful assembly Wednesday night in Portland, Ore., after about 150 rioters caused damage to a federal immigration facility in the city, according to the authorities.

The unrest near the ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) building was declared after rioters started throwing rocks and eggs, and vandalizing the building, located in the city's south waterfront neighborhood, Portland police Sgt. Kevin Allen said in a 10 p.m. update.

"We have observed property damage to the building," the Portland Police Bureau wrote on Twitter. "Anyone who is involved in criminal behavior including: vandalism and graffitting is subject to arrest or citation."

Allen said individuals were seen carrying pepper ball guns, electronic control weapons (similar to stun guns) -- shields, fireworks, and rocks. He added that federal law enforcement used "crowd-control munitions."

"This gathering may impact traffic and access into the neighborhood," Allen said. "We'll continue to closely monitor this event."

As of early Thursday, police said they were standing by "to address crimes" in the surrounding neighborhood, and some arrests were made, although they failed to elaborate any further.

Other cities saw some tension on Inauguration Day. Seattle witnessed property damage and objects hurled at cars; reporters said demonstrators were protesting against President Biden and law enforcement, and carried a sign reading, "Abolish ICE."

In Denver, protesters burned an American flag in separate demonstrations that reportedly involved members of the Black Lives Matter movement, as well as others who chanted anti-Trump and anti-Biden slogans.

            Right, "peaceful protest".

Julio Rosas, a senior writer with Town Hall.com, shared videos from the scene of the Antifa rioting. “On the ground in Portland, Ore. for @townhallcom,” he wrote with one video. “A group of Antifa marchers just attacked the city’s Democratic Party office. They broke windows and spray painted the building. Some of them had a hard time breaking the windows.”

            [...]

The police press release continued: "...The crowd made its way to Southeast Grand Avenue near Southeast Everett Street where it blocked traffic. The crowd walked to the 200 Block of Northeast 9th Avenue, where people broke out windows and applied graffiti on the offices of the Democratic Party of Oregon. People moved dumpsters in the street and lit the contents of one on fire."

            [...]

Seattle police shared this photo and wrote, “Police are monitoring a group in #DowntownSeattle. Multiple sites have been vandalized. One arrest made for property damage.”

            seattle.jpg

Police arrested a woman for assault and reported that windows at the courthouse were smashed. “Police have arrested a man in the 1900 block of Pike Place for investigation of burglary and for the property damage seen in these photos,” police wrote.

            [...]

Businesses were tagged with graffiti and vandalized, including an Amazon Go store.

The NYT article https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/...ion-crowd.html was nothing incendiary, it merely stated a simple fact.

However, Trump was obviously infuriated and sent Spicer out on 21 January with that ridiculous press briefing and then continued to peddle the lie at CIA HQ. A day or so later we had Kellyanne Conway giving us her "alternative facts".

Were Trump not such a narcissist the whole thing would have been forgotten by the end of January 2017.

No it's a format thing I suspect. I often write replies in Word and when I come to C&P the font is tiny so I simply change it and enlarge it.

FYI - using word makes replying to some of your posts nearly impossible as it sometimes inserts all sorts of formatting code into the text.

It just reminds me of the old preacher joke ---- preacher wrote in the margin of his sermon "weak point - yell louder". Just seems all you're doing is yelling louder.
