I guess I shouldn't be surprised something like this has been proposed. Since it hasn't be debated or scheduled for a vote yet, I'm interested but not concerns.

I'll add one additional comment which I think I've said before. Once we get out of Covid, we'll discover our civil liberties have been significantly curbed.

In liberal New York? I, personally, would be very concerned..

I think a lot of people have already discovered that.

I've watched the NY legislature work for years. A lot of stuff gets proposed that never goes anywhere. And the legislature generally moves at a glacial pace. When I hear it coming up for debate and vote, then it's time to be concerned. Of course, there is always the danger that it sneaks through in the middle of night attached to something else.

I'm wonder though if Hochul is trying to out Cuomo Cuomo.

I think this is delusional paranoia on your part. Can you give some particular examples of liberties that you can imagine being curbed, other than just vague fearmongering?

Wasn't giving the governor unlimited powers because of the Chicom coronavirus acknowledged as a mistake?

Not more then a year ago, those who said there would be vaccine mandates and inoculation passports were told they were delusional and paranoid. Now we're called delusional and paranoid if we don't embrace this government intrusion into our lives.

Yup. When surrendered you never get them all back.

Earlier this week you said the same thing about reports concerning Adam Schiff altering documents presented as evidence (while Democrats were acknowledging it but trying to spin it as accidental -- and more doctored documents have surfaced since then).

                        As for rights...

How about kissing our right to medical privacy good bye. It's gone. Ain't coming back.

Just stop and think for a moment about how stupid the idea is that nobody ever gets more rights.

You believe in the founding of the US right? You agree that people got more rights, after declaring independence?

What about the Amendments? The 13th amendment ended slavery. So it wasn't just the founding of the US that added more rights, they've continued since then with amendments.

Looking across the Western world, the last 150 years has been a history of democratic governments increasingly giving more rights to people. In the US in the 20th century, the biggest changes were the Civil Rights act and the Voting Rights act, with the government giving significant new rights to people through those laws. The UN's 1948 Universal Declaration of Human Rights, was a huge international effort to recognize more human rights and all around the world.

Civil rights have improved hugely in the last 150 years, and it has almost all been at the hands of democratic governments voluntarily choosing to give more and more rights and freedoms to their populaces.

By contrast, I am not aware of even a single case in the last 150 years in the western world of an armed populace wresting rights or freedoms from their democratic government by means of force of arms.

I must have missed that line when I was reading the US constitution. Can you point out to me where it is?

Perhaps you can also explain why you think it isn't coming back? I assume your complaint at the moment is that vaccination status is being made non-private. But lets say in a couple of years covid is gone... what exactly about medical privacy are you predicting wouldn't come back?
