I want a job testing my bed to make sure it is good for sleeping. I can write reviews on it and everything. And I think I should be paid the same as some stupid factory owner, or rocket scientist. That's fair, right? Not anyone can just test out MY bed. I am an expert at it.

I was raised to have business. I have started my own business. I already mentioned that history earlier in this thread when CP asked if I had ever signed the front of a paycheck

within the last few years I have seen the error of my ways.

All the arguments against me seem to be copy pasted from my arguments against leftists , 3 or more years ago or so and all the years before that.

The context was JR's world where everyone gets paid the same no matter what job they do. in that world I would gladly work at watching cartoons and sleeping in my bed making spreadsheets if I got the same as you did if you were a rocket scientist designing the next rocket to Mars.

Whose life is comes closer to realizing the intrinsic goods of human life, that of the rocket scientist or that of the couch potato? Or, to put the same question another way, who is truly happier?

Bank bailouts with taxpayer money is not capitalism. It's socialism. Had it been PURE capitalism, the failing banks should have closed and the smaller banks would have stepped up to fill the void.

The world you describe, in which even people who test beds for hotels or mattress manufacturers have the time and freedom to do so much good for other people, assuming more than a few choose to use their freedom in that way, strikes me as a good world to live in.
