Trump is only saying now what he knows the crazies in the conservative base want to hear, irregardless of his past views, which is alienating him from the other 70% of the voting public. The only republican contender I would be concerned about as a liberal is John Kasich due to his history of governance and his comparative sanity, but I don't think I need worry about him considering the authoritarian (daddy state) desires of the conservative base.

I believe he will reduce illegal immigration to a trickle. Whether he does that with a wall or 101 Airborne Division matters not to me. And what is just as important to us is doing something about these trade deals that are killing American jobs.

He may not round them up, it will be good enough to deport those government officials and police come across in daily activity. He certainly will end catch and release. Besides most of us are not worried about those who are here as long as they get control of the border.

No he doesn't. He is a constitutional lawyer who argues before the SCOTUS, but his skill is in debate and therefore LYING about what the Constitution says and DOES NOT SAY.
He lies that a constitutional amendment is the only way to reverse current thought that EVERYONE born in the U. S. is automatically a U. S. citizen. Even people who are not strict constructionists know that this is not true. (Native Americans were not citizens until Congress made it so, for example.) Far as that goes, he lies that he was born a U. S. citizen. He was born in Canada with therefore the Canadian allegiance of his father.
