Many years ago we had a pair of cedar waxwings nesting in the big fir right outside my bedroom window. The nest was actually at the level of the window, fairly high up the tree, and it was a real treat for my kids and me to watch those 3 chicks from just hatched to flown.
Waxwings are here year round but we see them more in winter, and rarely in summer, so it was really interesting to see them all through June that year in the fir tree.
What a treat for you, mike, to have that bit of God's creation right outside.
