The University of Maine, beholden to the moneyed interests of that state, has posted some pretty tepid excuses for the abhorrent practice of boiling them alive. A cursory search of the university's hiring practices demonstrates its appalling closed mindedness: it currently hires no lobsters at its famed lobster institute. No wonder its conclusions exclude the perspective of the crustacean!
Maine residents, it is feared, might respond with their own boycott of Swiss chocolate, knives, and watches.
