You keep using that word. Remember, the majority of the herd, or at least those in power in the herd, decide the rules (morality). The majority of the people in the United States since 1965 do not want property owners of businesses within our borders to discriminate against people based on race, religion, sex, or country of origin, and very soon I believe (possibly after the next supreme court justice is seated), "sexual orientation" will be added to that list of protected categories.

Freedom has its limits, Nick. That is why we have legislatures and courts to define those limits. I definitely support freedom of speech; freedom for individuals to speak their minds, but, within limits. For instance, I am against the freedom to yell "fire" in a crowded theater, or to repeatedly scream "nigger" at the top of your lungs in a public park.Last edited by Gary; 04-19-2016, 07:01 PM.

Despite it's the government that's always had to be changed in the past.

As for your above comment, that just enables the government to become a tool the majority can wield at any time. That's a killer of individual freedom.
If you say you value freedom, really do so realizing some people will use freedom in ways you and/or I won't like.
