Hi Chrawnus, having dealt with similiar last year things last year (my mother-in-law tried to commit suicide - cry for help, and my sister-in-law,eldest brother's wife of 3 months, did commit suicide - clinical depression and a seriou attempt, with what she took, had the ambulance been called immediately she would not have made it) I can relate to what you're going through.
He will obviously be getting counselling, but you (and your other family members) should consider it as well, it will be affecting you more than you realise at the moment.
Praying for all of you

So apparently he's woken up now, and our mother and his wife have been able to go and talk to him. Apparently they're the only ones who have been able/allowed to see him so far, but the fact that they're allowing visitors in the first place is a good sign.

3 For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, 4 that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures --1 Corinthians 15:3-4 (borrowed with gratitude from 37818's sig)

Yeah, apparently my brother is feeling better now. According to what I've heard he was/is feeling ashamed that he went for the option of trying to take his life, but he's grateful that he got help in time, so that nothing worse came off of it.
Of course, no one here has even the slightest thought of berating him for what he did.
At the hospital they wanted to transfer him to a mental health institution (no idea if that's the correct word for it in English) at first, but somehow my older brother managed to convince them otherwise, so for now my little brother is staying with my older brother and and his wife. He's still going to have to visit them for some checkups, but atleast he won't have to stay there.
Anything else? Not sure. They're coming to visit this weekend, so then I'll be able to check how well he is doing for myself.
