I like the endingless books because they are very raw and resonate with me. I struggle with chronic anxiety that gets really really bad sometimes and books like Jonah help me to not feel alone. It helps that Jonah is short and sweet, whereas Job, which has a similar ending, is much longer. There is less monologuing in Jonah, which I prefer. Plus, "I'm so angry I wish I were dead."

Of course I love the Gospels, the Letters of Paul, etc... But by far the book I love the most is the Psalms. I read from it every morning, in the King James of course. There is something about them that really speaks to me...Tags: None
