Apologetics 301 Guidelines

If you think this is the area where you tell everyone you are sorry for eating their lunch out of the fridge, it probably isn't the place for you

This forum is open discussion between atheists and all theists to defend and debate their views on religion or non-religion. Please respect that this is a Christian-owned forum and refrain from gratuitous blasphemy. VERY wide leeway is given in range of expression and allowable behavior as compared to other areas of the forum, and moderation is not overly involved unless necessary. Please keep this in mind. Atheists who wish to interact with theists in a way that does not seek to undermine theistic faith may participate in the World Religions Department. Non-debate question and answers and mild and less confrontational discussions can take place in General Theistics.

      You should've stopped here.

This is where you switched to talking out your nether regions.

I see a whole lot of careful parsing of accounts to dismiss whatever sources don't support the desired narrative. Pretty shoddy history, if you ask me. Surely she's aware that "fiddling" in no way requires an actual violin....

An omni god is by definition utterly self-sufficient in every respect including the need or “desire” for anything outside of itself. Such a quality implies a lack of completeness.

            Let's see the definition.

Why would we kiss our free will goodbye? By every indication, all we'll be losing is the propensity to sin and the aging process.

Maybe we can run an ethernet cable down to JimL so he can keep us entertained?

No death, no pain, no evil, no suffering, sounds great! Maybe fundy atheists are too busy looking for the catch? Other then the clearly stated increased risk of persecution and trouble in this life(is it really a "catch" if it's a clear disclaimer), there aren't any downsides. And what is a few decades of the school of hard knocks compared to an eternity in the presence of God?
