Apologetics 301 Guidelines

If you think this is the area where you tell everyone you are sorry for eating their lunch out of the fridge, it probably isn't the place for you

This forum is open discussion between atheists and all theists to defend and debate their views on religion or non-religion. Please respect that this is a Christian-owned forum and refrain from gratuitous blasphemy. VERY wide leeway is given in range of expression and allowable behavior as compared to other areas of the forum, and moderation is not overly involved unless necessary. Please keep this in mind. Atheists who wish to interact with theists in a way that does not seek to undermine theistic faith may participate in the World Religions Department. Non-debate question and answers and mild and less confrontational discussions can take place in General Theistics.

What’s up to question is what “worse wine” meant. Did it mean diluted wine or did it mean wine with the same ABV but just tasted worse?

It's like folks who switch from a top shelf liquor for something cheaper after the first two drinks. It's harder to tell the difference at that point. So it would be a surprise that someone saved the "good stuff" until the end, when it wouldn't be appreciated as much.

I'm always still in trouble again

Why don't you just come out and say it - this is about ME, isn't it?

OR, you want to impress your guests, but eventually you want them to go home --- so the "good stuff" is up front, and those who just won't go away get the bad stuff.

I agree. The ABV of the cheaper wine would be the same. It’s just wine made from midrange grapes that gives the same headbuzz.

At the last place I worked, the employees pooled together and got the boss a bottle of Johnnie Walker Blue for his birthday. He said, "You wasted your money. If I have one shot, it's Johnnie Walker Black. If I have a second, it's Johnnie Walker Red."

Sounds like he needs a lesson on how to be a gracious recipient.

He was grinning as he said it. He really was appreciative.

Ah - classic case of no facial expression, tone of voice, body language - in the telling of the story.

I tasted some Pappy Van Winkle once and while it was good it wasn't THAT good. Tasted about like Maker's Mark to me. I later found out they are made the same way (wheated rather than rye).

Had some Old Rip Van Winkle 11 year old that was quite tasty.
