Apologetics 301 Guidelines

If you think this is the area where you tell everyone you are sorry for eating their lunch out of the fridge, it probably isn't the place for you

This forum is open discussion between atheists and all theists to defend and debate their views on religion or non-religion. Please respect that this is a Christian-owned forum and refrain from gratuitous blasphemy. VERY wide leeway is given in range of expression and allowable behavior as compared to other areas of the forum, and moderation is not overly involved unless necessary. Please keep this in mind. Atheists who wish to interact with theists in a way that does not seek to undermine theistic faith may participate in the World Religions Department. Non-debate question and answers and mild and less confrontational discussions can take place in General Theistics.

You seem to have forgotten the times that I have expressed agreement when you have been right. Not that I find the fact surprising.

Not on issues pertaining to ancient history or the history of your own religion!

Certainly, we don't have any reason to believe you, given the number of mistakes that you make (which is not significant) and refuse to correct or even acknowledge (which is).
Which is why it is so important to push the idea that the other later scholars were merely mindlessly regurgitating Momsen so that it could be framed as Speidel v. Momsen rather than Speidel v. Momsen and a bunch of others.

Personally, I think for someone passing themselves off as a historian and a Classist to boot, to be completely ignorant of how historians divide the Roman Republic into Early, Middle and Late periods and to accuse me of making them up is very significant.

What is that non sequitur intended to mean? You made a statement of fact that is not a statement of fact.

                      It is that simple.

You do realise that these repeated posts serve to demonstrate that you are protesting too much?

What in the world could I possibly be protesting?

Unless you are still holding onto the notion that I'm the one responsible for dividing the Republic into historical periods.

You cannot admit your statement was wrong, can you? No surprises there though.
