Apologetics 301 Guidelines
If you think this is the area where you tell everyone you are sorry for eating their lunch out of the fridge, it probably isn't the place for you
This forum is open discussion between atheists and all theists to defend and debate their views on religion or non-religion. Please respect that this is a Christian-owned forum and refrain from gratuitous blasphemy. VERY wide leeway is given in range of expression and allowable behavior as compared to other areas of the forum, and moderation is not overly involved unless necessary. Please keep this in mind. Atheists who wish to interact with theists in a way that does not seek to undermine theistic faith may participate in the World Religions Department. Non-debate question and answers and mild and less confrontational discussions can take place in General Theistics.

All I did was show just how impractical and unfeasible your imprudent attempt at virtue signaling was.
We simply can not construct our society around every single difference that everyone has in a country of over 330 million people and if we tried we'd likely end up hindering and impeding as many other people as we helped.
Awhile back there was a popular trend to make everything child friendly where businesses were told they couldn't display Playboy at a magazine rack because children could be in the store. There was even an attempt around here to require grocery stores to keep beer and wine on the top shelf where it would be out of reach of the tykes.
Obviously, the concept crashed in on itself as we realized unrealistic and unworkable this would be. You just can't base society on something like that. And likewise you can't turn everything upside down to make 0.6% of the population feel better about themselves.

That's the question. Because as you say, things begin to implode when they reach their logical conclusions.
It would really be fun for me, for instance, to identify as an 11 year old, and sign up for little league football. Sure, there would be touchdowns and lots of glory, but it would probably be only short lived.

Part of me regrets posting this in that I don't know that as a Christian, it's my place to weigh in on intraparty squabbles among atheists."I am not angered that the Moral Majority boys campaign against abortion. I am angry when the same men who say, "Save OUR children" bellow "Build more and bigger bombers." That's right! Blast the children in other nations into eternity, or limbless misery as they lay crippled from "OUR" bombers! This does not jell." - Leonard Ravenhill
