Despite your imaginations, you have never refuted the biblical evidence!!! Both the Hebrew and the Greek says explicitly that whatever occurred at the event, both YHWH and David received it in equivalence. The most common translation is "worship".

You are unanimously voted as the only heretic here at TheologyWeb. And over numerous threads and posts have demonstrated your inability to respond intelligently to 1 Chron 29:20 wherein it is explicitly stated that "all the congregation blessed the LORD God (YHWH) of their fathers, and bowed down their heads, and worshiped the LORD (YHWH) and the king (David)".

Now, grasshopper, explain to us in plain English what 1 Chron 29:20 is telling us...which is not obvious in plain language...

As usual your post #933 is empty.

Whilst you accuse me of being a heretic, I have the utmost confidence that you are unanimously voted as the only heretic here at TheologyWeb. Please stop your antagonism to Christan Scripture and actually answer a simple question...

This post does not address your inconsistency. Either the basketball player actually believes he is playing baseball (not sharing his parents' interpretation of what basketball and baseball are), in which case he is not lying, or he knows that he was playing basketball, interpreting it the same way as his parents, and he is lying to them. Applying your analogy to prayer, either the Eastern Orthodox and Catholic Christians who pray to Mary do not interpret scripture the same as as you and thus do not believe Mary is a god. Or they do interpret scripture the same way as you and are thus lying when they deny worshipping Mary as a god. Alternatively, you could also say that only some are lying, but you would still need evidence to back up an accusation of lying.

                  • so because he believes he is playing baseball is he really playing baseball?

No, but that is irrelevant to your claim that Catholics believe Mary is a god or whether or no they are lying.

                      • It's not irrelevant because by praying to her they are worshiping her. They too are in a state of denial because by insisting that it isn't worship runs it contrary to EVERY example from the Bible which shows that every time prayer occurs it is always worship.

No, your position is completely untenable. If you concede that Catholics do not believe they are praying to Mary as a god, you cannot at the same time claim that Catholics belive Mary is a god. These are two contradictory positions. You cannot hold both at the same time.

In your analogy, if the basketball player genuinely believed he was playing baseball, he was not lying to his parents when he tells them he was playing baseball, nor is he saying that he is playing basketball when he says he is playing baseball.

If you want to now change your claim to Cathlics are in a a state of denial when they say they are not worshipping Mary as a god, you must abandon your earlier claim that Catholics believe Mary is a god. How can you not see this?

                          • In both situations they are delusional because the evidence is contrary to both claims.
                            He is really playing basketball.
By silently praying to Mary they are affirming she knows their hearts.

If you want to now change your claim to 'Cathlics are delusional when they say they are not worshipping Mary as a god', you still must abandon your earlier claim that Catholics believe Mary is a god. How can you not see this? If their delusion is that they can pray to Mary as someone who is not a god, clearly they do not believe she is a god when praying to her. Elementary logic.

There is only one God but by praying to her they have made her their god. She is a false god but a "for" for them.
