Anything about anybody going to heaven and coming back is bunk. I don't believe it happens, ever.

In re of he OP, I read the book. The author is a SBC minister from Texas. Whether he died or was hallucinating is certainly up for debate I guess...but the troopers and the EMT's thought he was dead. A fellow minister, who came along after the fact, recognized his car and crawled into the wreckage to pray for him as they were trying to cut him out.
