I've seen something like this on other forums I've been to in the past, but I just realized that I don't remember seeing it on here -- and having looked first to make sure that a thread about it doesn't already exist, I've decided to start one. 
In this thread, we're all going to work together to write a story -- but each of us can only post 5 words at a time to append to the previous poster's 5 words. The story will likely end up becoming insane and nonsensical, but that's the fun of it.
(Every so often, I might get up the motivation to compile everything we've got so far into a single post in another thread so you all can see just how crazy it's become. 
)
All that being said, I'm going to start us off below.
