  • Notre Dame, Our Lady, Our Mother, the Mother of God

I'm not really sure what subforum to post this in.

The University Notre Dame is named after Our Lady, the mother of our Lord Jesus Christ. All other things being equal, don't you think that the Mother of God would want a university of higher learning dedicated to her personally, named after her, with a famous prayer grotto, a university named in the honor of the mother of our Lord and Savior, Jesus the Christ, would, all other things being equal, want this team to win on any given weekend in the Fall?

With a final touchdown pass, Notre Dame 17, Stanford 14, with 1 minute and 1 second to go, the Stanford quarterback sacked, a first down but sacked again, and again at their own 37 yard line with 6 seconds to go. Intentional grounding. Game over.

Does this not prove the intercession of the Mother of our Lord?

The winningest team in the history of college football, named after the mother of our Lord and Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ.

    The Uniersity Notre Dame ...
I'm not really sure what a Uniersity might be, but it sounds vaguely French, which everyone knows is synonymous with surrender monkeys.

Mary's intercession isn't supposed to be proven, it's supposed to be proof of God's grace.

        That said, WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO GO IRISH
        Don't call it a comeback. It's a riposte.

I want the university with the blasphemous "touchdown Jesus" to lose every week, and twice on Saturdays.
Enter the Church and wash away your sins. For here there is a hospital and not a court of law. Do not be ashamed to enter the Church; be ashamed when you sin, but not when you repent. St. John Chrysostom

There are a lot of very fat furry squirrels on campus, if that's what you're asking.

It is a mural of the resurrected Christ.

Who just happens to be signaling a touchdown for a team named after his mother.

And more losses. It's the overall percentage that counts.

Not at all. Winning percentage is the only fair way to measure this when teams have been in existence for disparate amounts of time. This has not changed.

                            Football reference (*woosh*)

Although to be fair, it was more using "winning" ambiguously (most wins vs. winning percentage) than moving the goal posts.
