Lobby Guidelines

You've made it through the revolving doors and now you can mingle and mill about. If you feel like spamming, please head down the hall to the right to the RecRoom. But, if you'd like to meet people, chat about nothing in particular, you know...have polite conversation that doesn't seem to fit easily into any of the other rooms, this is the place!

The Lobby is not for serious debates, there are other areas for those types of conversations. It is more for relaxed chatting or discussing things that don't fit elsewhere. Politics, religion and philosophy have their own place on the site

  • Hey Young 'Uns! What do you Think of Mayberry?

I'm considering offering the Mayberry Bible study for youth during the next couple months. It's based off the Mayberry RFD TV series that you may have seen on TV Land - and have definitely heard us old folks mentions, usually nostalgically.

And you get to see Ron Howard as a little kid.

Seriously, does that sound like something you or your peers might find interesting? The study shows clips from the series and the issues raised are discussed in light of Scripture.

Vote in the poll and add your comments! Thanks!

Now I understand how all the older Baby Boomers felt when kids started asking who the Beatles were...

From my years of teen ministry, first thing is that most of the teenagers don't like being called "youth"

A picking of a nit...It says in your link it's based on "The Andy Griffith Show". Mayberry RFD was the sequel...and I'm pretty sure Ron Howard wasn't in that show...other than the opening show that basically handed off the series to Sam and his son Mike.

Teens. Or High Schoolers (Middle Schoolers). But that may be different now. You can ask them what they prefer. Shows you really care what they think.

Mayberry RFD? Never heard of it. After my time obviously.
