I remember the first time I went fishing for catfish, then had to clean them. We chopped off their heads, then gutted them and skinned them, then watched as the fish body just wiggled back and forth on it own before we filleted them. Weird.

But after breading and pan frying them, they were delicious!

I have an old fishin buddy who uses a big iron pot to fry fish in... gets the grease (peanut oil, I think) in the pot really hot, he filets them rather thin, batters them with milk and corn meal, then he says, "you just slowly drop them into one side of the kettle so they sink down, slide along the bottom of the pot, then come up on the other side, and they're done perfectly".

Sure enough - some of the best catfish you'll ever eat.

I've seen just about every other type of pizza. Maybe its an untapped niche someone could get rich by filling.

Unless you are dealing with a zombie(or practical joke ) a fried catfish will not move on you.

I wish catfish grew in Alaska. But we do have a fish, the burbot, which resembles a cross between a catfish and an eel.

Not a pretty fish but at least as tasty as a catfish. Known by some as poor man's lobster, but tastier than lobster.

But, I stepped on one accidentally when I was 12. My sister caught it and I thought it was dead and when I went near it it started flapping around me and I stepped on it. In my bare feet. Accidentally. And it had whiskers......

I am traumatized to this day.

A salmon, on the other hand, is a beautiful thing. So is an angelfish.
