Yep, my grandfather told me that his father did that. Out late at night on the town, and he could sleep on the way home. The horse knew the way.
Imagine that. A century of automobile eingineering, and we are on the verge of having a car nearly as smart as a horse. No Silicon Heaven? Preposterous! Where would all the calculators go?

Yeah, more than a few times, I'd ride a horse out to mend fences or something, where my truck was parked, and just tell the horse "go home".
I never had the need to ride the horse home asleep. (I'm not sure the horse could get home if it was asleep )The first to state his case seems right until another comes and cross-examines him.

One night, I was driving from one town to another, MISSED my turnoff, and suddenly realized I was about 20 miles PAST my neighborhood.
I think this is pretty universal with people who drive a lot. (at least, that's my story and I'm sticking to it!)The first to state his case seems right until another comes and cross-examines him.

Still driving my 1996 GMC Suburban. Just had the oil changed at 390,000 miles. Engine has never been overhauled, heads have never been pulled or reworked. On my 3rd transmission rebuild though. Still a good ole "truck"! I wouldn't hesitate to get in it and take a long trip..."What has the Church gained if it is popular, but there is no conviction, no repentance, no power?" - A.W. Tozer
