  • Hair Hack Jobs: Rite of Passage

A young friend of mine found out her little girl cut off a big piece of her own hair. LOL...although it is a shame since the little girl has VERY pretty hair...this appears to be something almost every child MUST do. I don't think my mother ever mentioned us doing so, but I know others who endured this. In one case, a boy did such a messy one that his mom had the barber do a very short buzz cut. It turned out to be a blessing, because we all discovered how fantastic he looked with that cut.

Anyone want to share your experiences?

My granddaughter, Ryleigh, did this when she was about 3, and apparently thought it could go "back on".

HOWEVER, now she's 13, had long beautiful hair, and decided to have it cut so she could donate her hair to one of those "wigs for cancer kids" agencies. She even had my daughter check for a credible agency to donate. I'm really proud of her. And she even looks cute with short hair!

In pre-school I put gum in this girls hair.
        That is all.

          I don't like chewing gum.
Micah 6:8 He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the LORD require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?

            Me, too.

I don't remember either of my kids cutting their own or each others hair when they were little. And I don't think Kasha has ever cut her own hair.

I DO remember my younger brother cutting the hair off one of my dolls, though.
